Founder of BenJoy, Inc.
Wanting to create jobs for Filipino workers and promoting Filipino talent to the world, Ben and Joy Alderson decided to establish a toy factory in the Philippines that would cater to buyers in the international toy market.

Ben Alderson, a British national, was a toy buyer for over two decades before he ventured into the toy manufacturing business with his first toy company Ben Kingsley, Inc. Ben parted ways with his partners at Ben Kingsley and decided to build a new toy factory with his wife Dorothy Joy. Thus, BenJoy, Inc. was established on June 15, 1992 employing over 300 workers at its peak production.

Ben successfully grew the business, with most of his buyers coming from Australia, North America and Europe. Ben continued to manage the company full-time until he and his wife retired to Australia in 1999, leaving the management of the company to his most trusted employees.

Today, BENJOY, Inc. is wholly owned and operated by Filipinos and is one of the top 10 toy manufacturers in the Philippines serving toy buyers all over the world.
