DESIGNING TOYS

Toy design will depend on various considerations, as determined by the buyer.  Factors such as the intended purpose of the item, the intended users, and brand identity are all considered at the design phase of the toy making process. Answers to basic questions about the marketing and branding objectives need to be laid down, before the actual look and feel of the toy itself is discussed and put on paper.

Buyers who have new toy design ideas or would want help in conceptualizing original designs for toy products for their toy store can submit the Customize Form and our representative will get in touch with you.

Buyers with existing toy designs and would want BENJOY to reproduce it can simply submit the Customize Form and send us a detailed illustration with all specifications of the toy design to our email at info@benjoyinc.com. We will then make a prototype of the toy and send you a price quote.

Prototype

BUILDING A TOY PROTOTYPE

Whether it's a new toy design or an existing toy design, a toy prototype is created to determine important manufacturing requirements aside from pricing the toy to be manufactured. A toy prototype is a model of the actual toy to be mass produced.

Patterns are created at this phase and the method of toy construction is determined that will guide workers in the manufacturing phase.

To create a prototype, simply submit the Customize Form and send a photograph of an approved design with complete specifications to info@benjoyinc.com. Our representative will then get in touch with you for further details.

PRODUCT TESTING

Product tests are mandatory for all new toy designs.  Depending on the region you intend to sell your toys, each toy design needs to pass certain toy safety and standards requirements.  For toys intended for the European market, toys need to pass EN71 standards. For toys bound for North America, the product must pass ASTM F963-17.

A new toy design, specially those intended for babies below 3 years old needs to be certified by a third party test provider.

BENJOY helps facilitate the toy safety tests performed by INTERTEK, an accredited third party test provider recognized in several countries.

Manufacturing

MANUFACTURING SOFT TOYS

Manufacturing soft toys takes about 30 to 60 days depending on the quantity and type of toys being made.

BENJOY does not require any minimum quantity to manufacture. Just remember, as a rule of thumb in toy manufacturing, that larger volumes or units produced reduces the total cost of production.

Shipping of manufactured products is a separate service that we help facilitate for our buyers. Should you need more information, send us an email or submit an Inquiry Form.
